Why feed it?
Smaller operators may not have the experience, familiarity or resources to discover and identify threats and hazards. Many practical challenges are only experienced on operating to an airfield meaning their crew are not often aware of them prior to heading in.
By providing anonymous reports of events and occurrences at airports, we can help all operators build up a more in-depth picture of the risk at an airfield, and can support everyone in developing a more robust level of familiarisation.
At Airport OGRE we would like to build up a practical picture of airports so those not familiar can know what to expect. The database will contain all the Practical Operational Offerings other operators and pilots send in. Yup, POOs. So folk can head in, discover things to look out for/include in their own risk assessments or TEM countermeasures.
How to feed it
Send us a brief report in which you identify the potential risk, threat, hazards or event that your crew experienced. This will be reviewed and fed into a database of ‘practical, heads-up alerts’ for specific airports.

This is a work in progress. When we have enough to share, we will share it HERE. Right now, that’s just a word in bold though. We’ll let you know when it turns into something more useful.
